Across Trentino on your bike. Among wines and castles along the old Via Claudia Augusta


The bike path that crosses the Vallagarina through Rovereto follows the ancient route of the Roman road Claudia Augusta.

Pedal along the Adige, in the midst of vineyards and castles in the land of Marzemino, the wine celebrated by Mozart.

The Vallagarina cycle route is flat and therefore suitable for children as well. From Borghetto, on the border with Veneto, pedal in the direction of Mori (26 km) from where you can choose to continue on to Rovereto (6 km) and then Trento and Brennero, or descend towards Lake Garda (10 km).
Along the way you will find many opportunities for a cultural stop-off, as well as accommodation and restaurants.

The “C’entro in bici” project now allows you to rent bikes for free at the Via Manzoni and Centro Storico carparks.

How does it work?

  • Present your ID to receive your numerical code
  • Take the bike from the bike rack
  • Return the bike that day, putting it back where you found it and collect your ID
