Big World War 1914-2014

Organised with the Patronage of the Presidency of Council of Ministers, the exhibition is the centrepiece of the project “Great War 1914-2014”, thought for the three seats of Mart.

On the occasion of the Centennial of the First World War, proposes the Mart – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Rovereto, an exhibit dedicated to one of the most tragic and significant events in the modernity, which takes the name from one famous poetry of Bertolt Brecht.

More than 3.000 mq of a way with works and documents that, starting from the core dedicated to the First World War, comes until the wars of this age. The exhibition proposes a story about the war, that goes ahead with chapters dedicated to those who fought the War, but also to women, children, doctors, artists and religious.

In the exhibition there are documents, reportages and depositions of the daily routine. Besides the works of the coeval artists you will find works, photos, art installations, videos and films of contemporaneous

Opening time

Opening time: Tuesday – Sunday 10:00-18:00 Friday 10:00-21:00.

Every Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. guided visit of the museum. Max. 30 people. Registration at the ticket office from 2 p.m.
The cost of the guided visit is € 2,00 (to add to the entrance ticket). Martedì – Domenica 10:00 – 18:00. Venerdì 10:00 – 21:00.

  • students from 15 till 26 years, members of certain associations, groups min. 15 – max. 30, over 65: € 7,00
  • free for under 14, “Friends of the Museum” and schools Family Ticket € 22,00
  • Combined ticket for the two seats: adults 13,00€

  • Ticket included in the Trento Rovereto card, which can be purchased for € 20,00
