Genius and Memories

A hundred years after the death of Umberto Boccioni (1882-1916) the Mart exhibition evokes the great exhibition of Royal Palace. After Milan, the exhibition of Rovereto tells the artistic career of Boccioni, its international reputation and his activities in the light of new documents emerged.

Umberto Boccioni. Genius and Memories is a selected project that give an exclusive path on the visual sources that have contribute to the formation and the evolution of the style of the artist.
After Milan the activity of Umberto Boccioni (1882 – 1916) will be esplored in Rovereto throught important paintings and sculpture of his contemporary artistis, most of that belonging to Mart’s collection and precious materials archive.
The exhibition of Boccioni dialog with the expositive activities, developed in the museum and in the places of Futurist House of Art Fortunato Depero and refects in the international research of the 900 archive, where you find the CISF, International Study Center about Futurism.
