Dairyman for a day at Malga Zocchi

Experience life in the malga: wake up at dawn to milk the cows, discover how the milk is transformed into tasty soft or mature cheeses and enjoy a breakfast prepared with 0 km products.

You are in Malga Zocchi, at an altitude of 1,700 metres among the beautiful pastures and meadows of the municipality of Trambileno at the foot of Monte Pasubio.

You will be welcomed by the Iseppi family, who have been running this malga for years and produce quality cheeses such as tosella, smoked ricotta, caciotta, fior di panna and yoghurt every day.

The day begins with the milking of the friendly cows of the malga and the story of the main activities that are carried out in a mountain farm. After milking the milk, you will be shown how it is made into cheese through a practical demonstration.

At the end of the activity, you can enjoy a delicious sweet or savoury breakfast prepared with the genuine products of the malga.

To take part in the experience, it is necessary to comply with the Covid dispositions in respect with the currently in force law.

Opening time

Meeting point: 6.00 a.m. at Malga Zocchi, in the municipality of Trambileno.

Directions: you can leave your car at the “Al Sasso” Giazzera car park. From here, follow the signpost 101 in the direction of Rifugio Lancia until you find the deviation to Malga Zocchi.

Cost of the experience:

  • Children 4-10 years: € 11
  • Children 0-3 years: free

Registration: by 12.00 noon on the day before the activity. In case of cancellation (decided by Apt) the registration fee will be refunded.
