Castanetum Flower Festival

From the 20th of June to the 20th of July, the "Castanetum Flower Festival" will bring together some 50 Italian towns in a wide-ranging network of events dedicated to promoting the “Via del Castagno,” a project organized by the National Association of Chestnut Towns.

On Saturday, 4th of July, the festival will stop in the picturesque centuries-old chestnut grove of Castione for a day celebrating local products, featuring food and wine stands, events, and activities for all ages.

Programme

Starting at 10:30 AM | Among the Giants of Time. Guided tour of the centuries-old chestnut grove

• 10:30 AM | Former Castione kindergarten, Via Sartori 6 | Gathering and welcome address by officials
• 11:30 AM | Start of the guided tour
• 12:00 PM | Arrival at the centuries-old chestnut grove and aperitif for all

At 11:30 a.m. | Cartooning under the chestnut trees

At 1:00 p.m. | Among flowers and flavors
Tasting of local delicacies under the flowering chestnut trees

At 5:00 p.m. | A century of voices
Concert by the Sosat Choir

Throughout the day, there will be live sculpture performances by Gino Luz, as well as activities for children such as the treasure hunt "Alla ricerca dei custodi del bosco".

The event is organized by the Castione Chestnut Protection Association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Brentonico.
