Experience Christmas in a truly magical place: The Castle of Avio, a FAI (Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano) property, with its hidden paths, enigmas to be solved, stories and legends to be told in an atmosphere waiting to be discovered.
From the 22nd of November to the 21st of December, discover the Christmas market within the walls of Avio Castle! After the success of past editions, the manor house at the entrance to Trentino will host the seventh edition of this event.
Five weekends to enjoy the flavours and traditions of Christmas in Trentino and beyond: exhibitors from the world of food and wine and local crafts from Vallagarina and the upper Veronese area will enliven the Baronial Palace and its large courtyard with an evocative Christmas market. Sweets, cold meats, local cheeses, wines, ciders and craft beers, honey and jams as well as small handicrafts in wood, ceramics, wax and fabric. In addition to the traditional market, choral concerts, children’s activities and guided tours will punctuate the special opening days.
Shuttle Service:
On all event dates, a shuttle bus will be available from 9:50 AM to 5:30 PM at a cost of €2.00 per person (round trip). Tickets for the shuttle can be purchased in cash at the special info point located in Piazza Conciliazione, near the shuttle departure point. Advance booking for the shuttle is not available.
Parking:
Large parking areas will be available and clearly marked along the main roads leading to the Castle.
Coaches/Buses:
A designated parking area will be available in Via del Lavoro, next to Giuliani Serramenti. The drop-off and pick-up point for visitors will be located on Viale al Parco, along the SP90 road.

The Castle is not easily accessible for people with walking difficulties. For more information please contact 0464 684453 (active during the Castle’s opening hours).
Warm shoes suitable for walking on dirt tracks and appropriate clothing are recommended.
Dogs are always welcome, provided they are kept on a leash.

The market is open every Saturday and Sunday from the 22nd of November to the 21st of December, as well as on Monday, 8th of December, 2025.
Opening hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (last entry at 5:00 PM).

Self-guided visit to the frescoed areas (Casa delle Guardie e salita al Mastio con Camera dell’Amore):
- €6.00 full price
- €4.00 reduced (ages 6–18)
- Free for FAI members, children aged 0–5, and residents of the Municipality of Avio
Guided tours at fixed times (11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM – approx. 50 minutes):
- €12.00 full price
- €8.00 reduced (ages 6–18 and students aged 19–25)
- €6.00 for Avio residents, FAI members, and people with disabilities
- Free for children aged 0–5
- €32.00 family ticket (2 adults + 2 children aged 6–18)
