9th and 10th – 16th and 17th December
“El nos Nadal” means Our Xmas in the dialect of Trentino. A special and traditional Christmas, that narrates the past. The magic of the past lives again in the courtyards, in the squares and the cellars of the town. The Castle of 1200, from which derives the name Castellano, becomes a suggestive frame for the land and handicraft markets, a way to discover who lives and works today in the mountains of Trentino.
The traditional recipes and music
The inhabitants of the little town (around 700 people lives here) open their houses and let us discover the historical and cultural uniqueness of this place. A distinctiveness that is narrated through the traditional dishes served in the courtyards together with local wines, but also through the music and choirs of the groups of Trentino, with their costumes, voices and melodies.
Exhibitions, installations and entertainment
If Christmas is tradition, it is also a special moment for children, in Castellano they will be able to find drawings, games, animals in the stall to spend time together.
On the plan exhibitions and expositions by local artists, set up in the most significant places of the town and photographic installations along the streets, to tell a story about a past made of people, meetings and memories.
There will be also space for theatre, that tells old legends, stories that happened between the noble madams and a humble court man, funny stories to discover in the town of Castellano.
Our Christmas is a town that opens the doors of its houses, to tell a Christmas of the past, and invites everybody to share the feast moments.
