Livio Senigalliesi's analog photographic exhibition 1991-2020
At the MITAG, an expositive project which displays 30 years of ongoing conflicts through Livio Senigalliesi's camera lens
The pictures and recordings of Livio Senigalliesi represent an action of witnessing and reporting in a world that moves fast and often lacks focus: they are powerful images that nurture memory and foster a critical approach to war.
The photographs, the result of three decades of reportage across four continents, were taken at close range, among people in pain, sharing with them danger, cold, and hunger. The artist returned to the same places several times in order to document change, trace the consequences of war, and collect the survivors’ stories.
The exhibition "Diario dal fronte" is a curated anthology of these experiences and acts of witnessing.
"Diario dal fronte" is enriched by an audio guide narrated by the artist himself, offering visitors the stories behind some of the photographs.
The initiative - part of the Museum's proposed program to mark the centenary of the "Maria Dolens" Bell of the Fallen-is implemented with the support of the Autonomous Province of Trento and the Municipality of Rovereto - City of Peace, and in collaboration with the "L'Immagine" Photography Club of Rovereto and the Center for International Cooperation (CCI).
