Foliage at Lake Cei
Where? Lago di Cei
When?
A walk among the colors of autumn
On the last Saturday in October, take the opportunity to admire the foliage in all its hues: gold, orange and red reflecting in the crystal clear waters of this tranquil alpine pond.
You are at Lake Cei, a precious gem in the center of the Prà dell’Albi-Cei nature reserve surrounded by majestic beech trees and dense reed thickets that are tinged with the most beautiful and warm colors in autumn.
Walk along its bank and stop for a few seconds to admire the natural spectacle that will open before your eyes. After this first stop, you can continue the itinerary along a comfortable little road in the middle of the forest, accompanied by an expert territory guide who will reveal the secrets of the trees that populate this corner of Vallagarina.
The walk will continue to Malga Cimana where a delicious lunch of typical products will be waiting for you.
Did you know that there is a natural terrace just a few steps away from the malga? Reach it and admire the view from above over the entire Vallagarina!
Walk details:
- Itinerary length: about 4 km
- Height difference: about 300 meters
- Difficulty: medium-easy (route not suitable for buggies)
- Duration: about 4 hours (lunch included).
