Giro d’Italia Women 2026

Following the success of the 2025 stage finishing at Passo San Valentino, Vallagarina is preparing to welcome the elite of international women’s cycling

Indeed, on 4th June, the sixth stage of the 2026 Giro Women will set off from Ala. After 155 km, passing along the eastern shore of Lake Garda, it will finish in Brescello, the town in Emilia made famous by the film adaptation of the stories by the writer Giovannino Guareschi.

Ala is ready to deck itself out in its finest and honour its role as host by proudly showcasing its rich cultural heritage: its historic centre, one of the best-preserved in Trentino, with its Baroque palaces, a precious legacy of the silk and velvet era.

In the run-up to the stage, on Saturday 30^th of May, Ala will be tinted in pink for the “Mini Giro in rosa”, organized by the Ala Cycling Club, and for ‘Aspettando il Giro’, an evening of music, food trucks, rosé wine tastings and guests from the world of sport. Find out more here.
