L’Altramontagna Festival “Il Fiore del Baldo”

Four days of opportunities to meet, discuss, and address the topics of the online daily newspaper "L'Altramontagna" with leading figures and experts from various sectors.

From June 4th to 7th, Brentonico welcomes the new edition of the L'Altramontagna Festival "Il Fiore del Baldo," showcasing the profound relationship between humans and the mountains through a rich program of initiatives and guests.

The event was created with the aim of reviving and celebrating the experience of the historic festival "Il Fiore del Baldo," which ran for four editions between 1978 and 1987. Back then, it gained the enthusiastic support of the national academic world, becoming a benchmark for scientific knowledge and for deepening the understanding of Monte Baldo's role as a European hotspot for endemic species.

The festival merges the insights of those four historic editions with the fresh concept of the Festival de L'Altramontagna. It serves as an opportunity for outreach, debate, and raising awareness about the vulnerability of the highlands, as well as the implications of land-use changes and climate transformations on mountain species, habitats, and landscapes.
