Suono Di-Vino

At Palazzo de Probizer, a refined encounter between music, agricultural products, and outstanding wines, in collaboration with Associazione Sonata Islands, La Casa del Vino della Vallagarina, and local producers.

The unmissable "Suono di-Vino" events return, designed for a select audience to ensure a fully immersive experience in both sound and taste. In the elegant 18th-century hall on the first floor of Palazzo de Probizer, four chamber music performances will be followed by a tasting of a Vallagarina wine, offered by La Casa del Vino, the cooperative dedicated to promoting the region and its products.

The artists, invited by Associazione Sonata Islands and selected by artistic director Emilio Galante, are internationally renowned musicians who will engage in a dialogue with some of the finest producers of the Vallagarina area.

• Sunday, May 10th
  “The Rite Duo” with Marco Rinaudo and Stefano Visintainer, piano four hands.
  Music by Respighi and Stravinsky

The Rite Duo is actively engaged in a series of projects dedicated to the vast repertoire for piano four hands and two pianos. Among these stand out La Musica dello Scandalo, devoted to the Ballets Russes works Le Sacre du Printemps by Igor Stravinsky and Parade by Erik Satie; the concert Suggestions: Dancing the Images, a program both evocative and dynamic, featuring suggestive works such as Bilder aus Osten by Robert Schumann and the Waltzes op. 39 by Johannes Brahms; and the project Di fontane e pupazzetti.
The Rite Duo has performed not only throughout Italy, but also in Portugal, Spain, and Ireland.

• Sunday, May 17th
  “Amèrica Latina” with Emilio Galante – flute – and Lorenzo Liuzzi – piano.
  Music by D’Rivera, Pascoal, Mehmari, Galante and Liuzzi

A classical chamber ensemble is brought to the boundaries between written music and improvisation through the repertoire of a continent where genre boundaries have never been an obstacle. The music of the Cuban composer Paquito D'Rivera (Vals Venezolano) intertwines with works by great and innovative Brazilian composers such as Hermeto Pascoal with Forró Brasil, and the younger André Mehmari with the delightful Clara.
The program also includes original compositions inspired by Brazilian musicians: Hermeto, a tribute to the great musician who passed away in September 2025, Choro pro Guinga, Egberto, Cinq vues du Chateau, and Samba do Peixinho.

  “Harmonica and Piano” with Santo Albertini – chromatic harmonica – and Edoardo Bruni – piano.
  Music by Bach, Dvořák, Bruni and Morricone

It has become increasingly rare to hear the harmonica in concert performance. Yet the expressive possibilities of this instrument are enormous, perhaps even greater than those of many other wind instruments: its range exceeds four octaves, and it is capable of producing double notes and chords. Unlike all other wind instruments, sounds are produced not only by blowing but also by inhaling.
The chromatic harmonica allows the performance of any musical piece thanks to its exceptional range and to the possibility — absent in the diatonic harmonica — of playing all twelve notes of the chromatic scale. The program will feature music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonín Dvořák, Antonio Bartolomeo Bruni, and Ennio Morricone.

• Sunday, June 7th
  “The flute between the 18th and 20th centuries” with Elena Cornacchia – flute – and Giorgio Costa – piano.
  Music by Bach, Schubert and Prokofiev

The duo Elena Cornacchia and Giorgio Costa presents a program spanning the Baroque, Romantic, and Modern styles. Johann Sebastian Bach’s Sonata in G minor BWV 1020 reflects the structure of the Italian sonata of the period. Franz Schubert’s Sonata in A minor for arpeggione and piano, D 821, originally written for the arpeggione — a little-known six-string hybrid instrument — is today also performed on flute, cello, or viola, representing a unique bridge between guitar technique and classical sensitivity.
Sergei Prokofiev’s Sonata in D major op. 94 combines freshness of invention with a lively sense of humor from the very first Moderato movement, marked by melodic cantabile writing.
