VIVA! d’estate

VIVA! is the summer preview of a contemporary dance festival celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Abbondanza/Bertoni Company, held across cultural sites, historic spaces, and urban landscapes throughout the region.

VIVA! grows out of the curatorial path developed by the company over recent years through Sottoscritta! and Animo!—projects that expanded the activity of Teatro alla Cartiera, transforming it into a gathering space dedicated to contemporary dance and the performing arts, welcoming different artists, visions, and practices. With VIVA!, in the year of its 30th anniversary, this path expands even further and opens up to the city, building new relationships and alliances with local cultural organizations, institutions, and venues.

VIVA! asserts a presence: thirty years of Abbondanza/Bertoni turning into living matter, a drive that persists and renews itself.

Thus, VIVA! d’estate is born—a first movement anticipating the autumn program. A journey made of bodies, visions, and encounters, capable of inhabiting the present in all its fragility and transformations.

From June to August, VIVA! d’estate weaves together collaborations and intersections across the Church of Sant’Osvaldo, MART, Bosco della Città, and the Garden of Palazzo Betta Grillo, thanks to partnerships with Nuvolette, Bosk Festival, and Evoé!Teatro.
