World Environment Day

On World Environment Day, an experiential tour combining environmental conservation with a sense of community.

 To mark World Environment Day, annually celebrated on 5 June, the city of Rovereto, on Saturday 6 June 2026, is offering an opportunity to experience urban spaces in a different way and make a difference first-hand.

Discover the events of Saturday, 6 June 2026:

9 am–11am | Cigarette butt collection

Meeting point: Via Dante (near the Monument to the Alpine Troops)

A community initiative to clean up the city. Equipment will be provided on site by the organizers (but you are welcome to bring your own gloves). All volunteers will receive a free blue event T-shirt and, at the end, a well-deserved refreshment at La Voliera.

9 am-6pm | Old-fashioned market

Where: Via Roma, Piazza D. Chiesa and Via Tartarotti

Take a stroll through the town centre and soak up the vintage atmosphere. A great opportunity to promote the practice of reusing items as you browse stalls brimming with second-hand goods, rare collectables, books and handicrafts.

2.30pm-5.30pm The soil speaks: ways to listen to and regenerate it

Where: Orto San Marco – SETÀP, Via Pasqui

An immersive workshop to explore the dynamics of sustainable agriculture. With the support of expert researchers, you’ll be able to assess the soil’s vital parameters and learn new techniques to hone your green thumb. The session will conclude with an aperitif dedicated to mindful eating.

7.00 pm | Community Dinner with Entertainment

Where: S. Maria District

An evening of conviviality: bring a dish or a drink to share under the stars. Afterwards, the Compagnia Vannetti in S. Osvaldo will bring the square to life with a theatrical performance. A genuine opportunity to enjoy our public spaces and strengthen our social fabric.
