Christmas in Rovereto’s museums

In Rovereto, the wait for Christmas is a journey among Christmas markets, musics, colours, lights and magic atmospheres, an itinerary to discover Nativity scenes, streets, squares and palaces of the historic centre. More than five weeks worthy of events while waiting for Christmas and to experience festivities through many proposals for everyone.

The Mart museum in Rovereto presents its art exhibition “Etruschi del Novecento”, the winter art exhibition dedicated to the luck of the etruscan culture on the modern and Contemporary. Moreover, the museum hosts the anthological art exhibition “Italo Cremona. Tutto il resto è profonda notte”.

The rooms of Rovereto Castle, home of the Italian War History Museum, house two exhibitions. The first one, “1943 La scelta“, it tells through the biographies of more than thirty witnesses the armistice act signed by the Badoglio government with the Allies. The second, “Vietnam dimenticato – Legionari italiani in Indocina 1946-1954”, sheds light on almost 10 years of a ferocious war that had a devastating impact on the local population and its combatants.

On the Miravalle hill, the “Campana dei Caduti” offers a moment of reflection with the exhibition “Presepi contro” in order not to forget the mistakes of the past.

At the Museum of Science and Archaeology, the renovation of the ground floor rooms, displaying spectacular pieces from the palaeontology, mineralogy and botany collections is complete. At the “Museo della Città“, the new exhibition Fili di Seta.
