Palazzo Lodron – Volpini de Maestri estate
Passion, curiosity and delight
An ambitious start-up in the historic home of Counts Lodron. The Volpini de Maestri family opens the doors of its palace for events and tastings of its elegant Bordeaux wines.
An evocative palace in the historic center of Nogaredo, with more than 400 years of history that begins with the family of the noble Counts Lodron and which has seen the passage of numerous prestigious historical figures, such as the composer W.A. Mozart in 1769.
Today the Volpini de Maestri family, descendant of Counts Lodron, is dedicated to the maintenance and restoration of this legacy and opens from time to time the doors of its palace for events and tastings of its wines.
All around the building, almost three hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot vineyards and even some rows of Carménère vineyards, surrounded by ancient dry stone walls, lush olive trees and fragrant lavender bushes.
Quality is the primary goal of the family, achieved through a careful manual work in the vineyard, the selection of the best French oak barrels and patience in the cellar, waiting for the wine to mature to give its best aromas.
