Palazzo Lodron – Volpini de Maestri estate
Passion, curiosity and delight
An ambitious start-up in the historic home of Counts Lodron. The Volpini de Maestri family opens the doors of its palace for events and tastings of its elegant Bordeaux wines.
An evocative palace in the historic center of Nogaredo, property of the same family for over 450 years, with important names closely linked to its history, such as Paride Lodron, the Salzburg’s Prince Archbishop, and Mozart.
Today the descendants of Counts Lodron, the Volpini de Maestri family, are fully dedicated to the maintenance and restoration of this legacy and open from time to time the doors of the palace for events and wine tastings.
All around the building, almost three hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot vineyards and even some rows of Carménère vineyards, surrounded by ancient dry stone walls, lush olive trees and fragrant lavender bushes.
Quality is the primary goal of the family, achieved through a careful manual work in the vineyard, the selection of the best French oak barrels and patience in the cellar, waiting for the wine to mature to give its best aromas.
