Bordolesi (Wine from Bordeaux)
In the second half of 19th century, during a general modernisation process of viticulture, some French vines have been introduced in the region.
“Cabernet” and “Merlot” came in the territory of Vallagarina, which was particularly suitable for their cultivation. Bordeaux varieties were recommended for the production of the “fine bottled-wines”.
At the beginning of ’70 of 19th century some “Bordeaux varieties” born in the region, such as “Fojaneghe” of Bossi Fedrigotti and “Castel San Michele” of Agricultural Institute San Michele, pioneers of an adventure that, through more than half century of history, fulfil producers’ satisfaction and buffs’ emotions.
Wines of intense colour with refined bouquet, structured and elegant, with a long and appealing finish.
