International Tournament “Città della Pace”

The 37th edition of the International Tournament “Città della Pace” will be held from the 18th to the 20th of April, 2025.

For the past 37 seasons, the International Tournament “Città della Pace” has been a staple of the Easter time in Vallagarina. On the 18th, 19th, 20th of April, 2025, hundreds of young athletes, arriving from all over the world, challenge each other on the field, while playing soccer or water polo, so to represent the values of sport, socialization, and fair-play.

In addition to the sport events, there will be supplementary events (among which the Opening Ceremony at the “Campana dei Caduti”, a universal peace symbol, renowned all over the world) meant to induce the participants to reflect on themes like that of peace, cohabitation, and dialogue.

Programme:

Thursday 17th of April

• 9pm, Piazza U.Savoia, Mart | “Due pugni guantati di nero” with Federico Buffa and Alessandro Nidi. Book here.

Friday 18th of April

• 10am – 6pm | Accreditation of participating teams
• 8pm – 9:30 pm | Welcome Show for athletes and participating teams. With the participation of ASD Life.

Saturday 19th of April

• 8:30am, Colle di Miravalle, Campana dei Caduti | Opening Ceremony: Each nation will read the oath, followed by the notes of its national anthem. The 100 tolls of the Maria Dolens bell, symbol of universal peace, will conclude the Ceremony.
• 10:30am, from Piazzale Leoni to Piazza Umberto Savoia – MART | Parade through the streets of the city centre, and celebrations in piazza U.Savoia (Mart)
• 1pm – 7pm, Vallagarina fields | Qualifying rounds
• 6pm, Municipal swimming pool, and Don Milani High School’s gym | Water Polo and Fencing Tournament Awards

Sunday 20th of April

• 9am-4 pm, Vallagarina fields | Qualifying rounds and semifinals
• 6 pm-2 pm, Stadio Quercia | Football tournament finals. Admission reserved for teams participating in the tournament.
• 10 pm, Stadio Quercia in Rovereto | Prize-giving and Closing Ceremony with fireworks. Entrance reserved for teams participating in the Tournament. Prizes are awarded by the authorities to the top 3 teams in each category and a Fair Play award is presented. The Ceremony ends with a fireworks display with background music.
