Torneo Internazionale Città della Pace
Where? Sports fields in Rovereto and Vallagarina
More than 30 years of sport, friendship and solidarity among young athletes
The thirty-fourth edition of the International Tournament “City of Peace” will be held on April 15, 16 and 17, 2022.
For 33 editions, the International Tournament “City of Peace” welcomes on Easter weekend thousands of young athletes in the beautiful setting of Rovereto and Vallagarina, in Trentino, ready to compete on the playing fields.
The values of sport, the moment of competitive confrontation, respect for the others and the rules of the game are the heart of the Tournament, as well as the meeting and socialization of many young people from different countries. Besides the sport, also the collateral events (among which the Opening Ceremony at the Bell of the Fallen, symbol of universal peace known all over the world) induce the participants to moments of reflection on themes such as peace, cohabitation, comparison.
The Tournament “City of Peace” is a great celebration of sport that combines within it messages that best represent the vocation of Rovereto, City of Peace and Sport.
Young athletes from four different disciplines will compete on the fields of Rovereto and Vallagarina: soccer, water polo, basketball and tumbling ball. In full compliance with current regulations relating to health emergencies, side events will return to be the protagonists, encouraging the meeting between athletes from different disciplines and different geographical origins, and reflection on the issues dear to the Tournament, as of course peace, fair play and respect.
