Lake Cei

Relaxation and romantic walks through beech trees, water lilies and cane thickets

Lake Cei is a quiet mountain lake about 900 meters above sea level, in the middle of the protected area of Pra dell’Albi – Cei.

In the municipality of Villa Lagarina, Lake Cei is an enchanting place in Trentino. The basin in which it is located is dominated to the north-west by the chain of the Stivo, Cornetto and Bondone mountains.

The tranquility of this alpine lake, surrounded by greenery, century-old beeches and fir trees and rich aquatic vegetation will enchant you. On its banks bloom you will find coloured water lilies, one of which is the rare blue iris. The shades of the water lilies and cane thickets blend with the colorful feathers of wild ducks.

With a short detour from the ring of the easy walk between the two lakes, you can also reach the charming church of San Martino in Trasiel.
